Yay – It snowed!

Boo – We had our gas turned off last night.

So, after returning to the condo after several hours out, David and I walked into a strong natural gas smell.  We called the gas company and they came out and said we had a huge leak and they had to turn off our gas until we get the leak fixed.  That meant no heat, no water heater, no stove.  I called around first thing this morning and got a fireplace contractor (where the leak was coming from) over ASAP and the gas was turned back on around 4pm today.  Good thing because we have another 5″ headed our way tomorrow…

Too much excitement for Monday.

November 22, 2009

I am writing to you from complete darkness.  The sun has started to set around 4:30pm.  Apparently, it will eventually set at 4pm.  Dear God.  I decided I needed a little plant life in my world.  Went to the supremely awesome Sprout, got a lot of help and – BAM – succulent terrariums.  Yahoo!

cookies

The best chocolate chip cookies you’ll ever have. Seriously, I’m making them for the second time this week. With more chocolate this time. :)

Troika Music Festival is in Durham this weekend. Nolan and I went to see The Beast and Megafaun play at Central Park last night. There was a pretty good crowd, despite the temperature being in the 40s.

I’ve challenged myself to take at least one photo every day. So here is my photo from today. Holla.

Beerfest! at the old Durham ballpark

…next year i’ll need to remember to make a tacky pretzel necklace and not to wear a dress that’s long enough to drag through puddles of spilled beer (gross! what was I thinking?)

matt&alicia

Nolan and I drove to Greenville on Saturday for the wedding of Alicia and Matt (a friend of Nolan’s from high school). I brought my DSLR and took a bunch of pictures, per usual. This one was taken right after they cut the cake. Cheers!

October 6, 2009

But should have been September 27, 2009…

Anniversary summed up in a picture.  We also went to Avec, which was awesome. Our first “fancy” dinner out.  We need to get out more often!

The bottle of champagne is from our realtor.  Fancy-smancy champagne, as it turns out, doesn’t taste all that different from non-fancy-smancy champagne.  Or maybe MM can tell me otherwise?

I got the paper cut for David (and me, really) – Jayna, I think this should be your next attempt!

Miss yall!
